New Renault headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt

Urban block D5 is the last plot of the vast Seguin Rives-de-Seine area of urban transformation in Boulogne-Billancourt, developed on the site of the old Renault factories. D5 is the site of Renault’s new headquarters, designed by ChartierDalix.

The 60m high-rise building is organized in several strata: a base, accommodating hall and large showroom; lower floors with wrap-around balconies, planted to create a hanging garden; an intermediary terrace level, with its glazed facade set back to give the building a narrow ‘waist’. This floor accommodates the staff restaurant. Finally, the upper section of the building is suspended from a steel structure at the top, supported by the central core. As well as its architectural appearance, which reinforces the image of the project, the external skin helps to improve the performance of the facade, efficiently protecting the blinds on these exposed levels and thereby ensuring greater durability.
