Steel structure of the entrance pavillion, the escalator bridges, the canopy, the East screen and the crown of the tower
This landmark tower, designed by Thom Mayne / mOrphosis and comprising 68 storeys of offices, rises to a height of 300m.
The sculptural form is supported by a steel and concrete hybrid structure, comprising a concrete core, a steeland concrete perimeter frame, and concrete and steel suspended floor structures.
The architecture features a steel framed sculptural entrance pavilion, raised up above the ground plane and linked to the main tower by steel escalator bridges, spanning around 50m.
T/E/S/S, working as sub-consultant to Setec TPI, is responsible for the design of the geometrically complex structural steelwork, including the connection detailing of the tower’s steel exoskeleton, and the steel structure of entrance pavilion and escalator bridges.
